Spotlight on Other Home Shows: Grand Designs Across the Pond
Grand Designs Live is a massive home show based out of the UK covering interiors, gardens, home improvements and renovations. Grand Designs pushes and popularizes the green and environmental angle of housing.
Every year they select their "Green Heroes" and displays them at the show. This year's environmental products and designs that include the Lula Dot: a light fixture made out of old books.

Natural Building Technologies' (NBT's) internal woodfibre insulation system is targeted specifically at the repair and refurbishment markets. The Pavadentro woodfibre board has been created to effectively insulate external walls on the inside, while greatly reducing the risk of condensation.

ProFi Deck is a new low maintenance decking system whose principle raw material is recycled sticky labels. Its stone like surface is hard wearing and almost maintenance free. Unlike traditional timber and composite decks, it requires no sanding or oiling, and is easy to clean.
Secret Energy Turbines:
The Secret Energy Turbine is a family of Vertical Axis Wind Turbines which are dressed up to blend in with traditional roof top furniture. All SET`s utilise latest hybrid self starting aerofoil technology, magnetic levitation and bearingless earth magnet generators.
