Exploring the different types of Home Show Attendees:

  1. The Educated Shopper: they know what they want, and they have knowledge of the industry, perhaps coming from within the home improvement space itself. They’re on the lookout for bulls**t. Feed them testimonials and customer success stories
  2. The Adventurer: they are there for the day and love to discover new gadgets and processes for DIY projects. Give them a demo, and make sure to capture their email!
  3. The Inspector: Searching the show for hidden gems, uncovered truths, and mysteries to unravel, they are prime to be involved in your booth games and contests.
  4. The Snooper: They work for one of the other booths, seeking competitive intel, giveaways to bring back to the office, brochures and anything else they can pilfer. Be polite and ask them about their own experiences.
  5. Socialista: They are interested in who’s who and who was where. They’re eager to connect with your staffers, snap photo opps, and share, share, share. Give them all your profile information and make sure they use your hashtags!
  6. Real Buyers: hmmm, hard to tell, but they could be any of the above. Make sure your staffers treat everyone fairly, and there willl be zero missed opportunities!
