4 Ways To Win At Your Next Home Show

- The earlier you can begin the planning of your booth strategies, the less mistaked you'll make. Your competitors will likely start the process with just enough time to get it done. Also, do yourself a favor and plan your last minute ideas. You won’t have to pay double or triple rush charges, worry about typos or final approvals that didn’t happen from customers.

- Don't send out a press release about exhibiting at this year's show. Instead, do two releases, starting two months earlier. Use the first PR to publish details of a success story of a customer who discovered you at a previous show. End the story with "Who will collaborate with us for next year's success story"? Follow up with additional coverage on your website and keep promoting the story through your social media channels. Oh, and  then send out story #2 announcing your participation at this year's event.

- Protect yourself from all the "giveaway zombies" who attend shows just to get the stuff you're using as promotionl tools. One way to do this is to train your exhibitors to target those attendees who didn't have a bag. These attendees just might be looking to do some business.

- Use Pinterest Pins throughout your website to allow people to add images of all of your products from your catalog. Turn it into a scavenger hunt. Prospective customers who've created the most comprehensive boards of your products can submit them to you and receive a special award or discount at your booth.
