The City Limits Diner, 200 Central Ave., White Plains, NY 10606

One five-star reviewer said:
"By the standard of a diner, City Limits is All-Stars. It is a diner only in decor. Fresh ingredients, inventive menu items, and reasonable prices for the quality of food. So City Limits is our dining destination when in the White Plains area. Favorite menu items are the Hanger Steak and Fish & Chips for either lunch or dinner. Wide assortment of bakery items too, made in-house I believe. Waits are common, but they move people quickly. Though never feel rushed. Can be noisy, and drinks on the high side compared with the food prices. Still, a good value overall."
Benjamin Steakhouse, 610 W. Hartsdale Ave., White Plains, NY 10607

"I came here last night for dinner on date number 4 (still trying to impress a new girl) and man did Benjamin Steakhouse get the job done! We were both extremely impressed with the service and food! The waiter was very nice and knowledgeable about the wine selection. We both shared the wedge and oysters as appetizers. The bacon on the wedge is delicious and the oysters were very fresh. We then shared the steak for 2, medium rare and not a touch over. It was delicious, juicy and very tender. We had mushrooms and Benjamin home fries for sides - also very good. I will definitely be returning as a regular and am eager to try the city location. I highly recommend this place if you're going out on a date or just hanging with friends. Needless to say we are going on date number 5!"
